GNCC Racer’s Christmas Loot
The December 28th GNNC quickfill has a funny if not revealing list of what some of the GNCC racers got for Christmas.
Since Charlie got a pair of Heelys, I’d like to recommend a couple of my favorite courses for him:
Lowes Home Improvement - Hard packed and dimly lit. Long wide fast sections with some technical trails (depending on whether they are restocking at the time)
Grocery Store - Well light, extremely fast (and polished) surfaces. Heavy volume of amature (some under 4 years old) driving large plastic carts.
PS - Make sure you tilt your shoes forward when you’re walking in Heelys. The first time you forget this you’ll know what I mean!
Love them GNCC Podcasts!
If you love GNCC racing, you have to listen to the podcasts on www.gncccast.com. These “grass roots” podcast may be a little rough on audio quality, but the content is extremely good. You can listen to the podcasts directly on the web site and you can also download directly from iTunes.
I’ve listened to all of the bike podcasts, but here are a few of my favorites:
* Rodney Smith interviews Jason Weigandt
* Rodney Smith interviews Juha Salminen
* Rodney Smith interviews Randy Hawkins
* Rodney Smith interviews Barry Hawk #1
